The Philippines is finally open to International Travellers & here is everything you need to know!

From the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic, the Philippines took a very hard line approach to its borders and domestic travel restrictions. So when the news hit, that they were reopening, and to all Travellers!, we couldn't wait to book a trip.

NOW, more than ever, is the perfect time to travel to the Philippines, and here is why:

  1. You are helping the Tourism Industries, Businesses and Communities recover economically and financially. The Philippines were hit hard by Covid 19 and the strict border closures for international and domestic travel.

  2. The beaches, jungles, temples and cities have never been so beautiful and pristine after taking a well deserved break from the mass of visitors and tourists.

  3. NO massive crowds....YET you can have some of the most beautiful destinations all to your self, but this wont be for long, so we suggest you get there ASAP!

What you will need to board your flight!:
  1. Return airline ticket

  2. A RT-PCR test - All passengers, except children aged 3 years and below, are required to have a negative test result from a RT-PCR test taken within 48 hrs prior to departure, or a negative test result from a supervise ART test taken within 24 hrs prior to departure.

  3. Vaccination Certificate

  4. Insurance Policy covering Covid 19 with a minimum coverage of USD35,000, for the duration of their stay in the Philippines. [We use Covermore]

  5. Complete your One Health Pass BOQ Health Declaration Registration (onehealthpass.com.ph) This is an online entry requirement by the Philippines Government.

  6. SPASS (S-PaSS Homepage) You will need to complete this for each city / municipally you are travelling too, please note each destination may have different requirements, but for most you will need to have booked an approved DOT hotel for example, and present your vaccination evidence. You will also need to show this before boarding Planes, Ferries, checking into Hotels, and on most Tours, so take a screenshot of the QR codes and keep it in a file on your phone.

It may seem daunting and overwhelming at first, but the online forms are easy enough to fill in and navigate and quick to approve.

BUT, Trust us, it is all worth it!

WE SUGGEST: You carry all of your paperwork, don't rely on showing it digitally on your mobile, not all Officials, Airline staff and Countries will accept digital documents!

You will need to show all your documentation to the Airline check-in staff as well as on arrival, the last thing you would want is to be held up in Customs on arrival because you didn't print off your documents.

Book your Insurance: We have found that Covermore offers a great comprehensive cover and provides a lot more transparency in what they cover and don't cover, compared to others on the market.

Book your Flights we always use Skyscanner, to source and book so that we get the BEST PRICES on the marketplace!

Book your accredited DOT hotels: We use Booking.com
