1. IN-APP AFFILIATE Tool
Instagram has announced a native affiliate tool that will allow Creators / Influencers to promote and endorse products and share them to their followers as they normally would, however they will now be able to EARN COMMISSION for the purchases they drive, in an affiliate relationship with the brands they work with, and all within the Instagram App.
This is currently in testing with a select amount of creators able to tag products from brands they work with. Currently if you come across a product that is an affiliate product from another Influencer or Creator it will have "eligible for commission" at the top of the post, so its clear that their purchase helps the creator and that the creator benefits from the purchase. Similar to Brand Partnering it is important for the sake of transparency and authenticity that the buyer knows that it is of financial benefit to the creator.
2. INSTAGRAM is making it easier to add an existing shop to your personal profile
Instagram have announced that creators and influencers will be able to link their shop from their business profile to their personal profile. This means they will have the additional platform to sell to fans and this update is LIVE right now.
3. Extra BONUSES on LIVE Badges
Badges (and Stars on Facebook) are a way for Creators to earn money though LIVES. Their supporters are able to buy Badges / Stars to support them. This month Instagram has launched new Bonuses on Badges for Milestones, this encourages users to continue to use the LIVE feature and engage directly with their fans.
